A classic steak and frites is a new twist on breakfast.
Ingredients
- 3 ½ pounds hanger steak, trimmed
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Method
- Rub your hanger steak with salt and pepper or your preferred steak rub the night before.
- Preheat the Egg to 250ºF with plate setter for indirect heat. Place hanger steak on stainless steel grate and roast for 1-2 hours or until internal temperature reaches 110ºF. Let rest for 20 minutes covered with a resting blanket.
- Meanwhile, replace the plate setter with a cast iron grate and raise the temp of your Egg to 450ºF. Place steaks directly on the grill until desired doneness is achieved.
- Let rest once more, slice and serve with potatoes of choice and garnish with a sunny side up egg. Enjoy!
