🍽️dressing and sauces

This sweet and tangy sauce is easy to make and tastes much better than generic bottled brands.
Ingredients
- 14 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup bown sugar
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp. kosher salt
- 2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Whisk together ingredients and bring to a boil. After the sauce comes to a boil, reduce it to a simmer. Allow simmering for 20 minutes.
- After the sauce is finished simmering, let it cool. The sauce can be used as is or allowed to sit overnight to continue developing flavor.
