A simple cornbread recipe is always a good thing to have on hand.
Ingredients
- 1 Β½ cups all purpose flour
- β cup yellow cornmeal
- ΒΌ cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 β cups buttermilk
- 2 each egg
- 10 ounces butter (melted)
Method
- Preheat Egg to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and set up for indirect cooking.
- In a bowl combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Once dry ingredients are combined whisk together melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs in a separate bowl. When dry and wet mixtures are ready combine with a spatula until dry and wet are fully incorporated.
- Once the cornbread mixture is ready, pour into a baking pan and bake on the Egg for 30 minutes or until a pick comes out of the middle clean.
