Buttermilk Cornbread

A simple cornbread recipe is always a good thing to have on hand.

Ingredients

  1. 1 Β½ cups all purpose flour
  2. β…” cup yellow cornmeal
  3. ΒΌ cup sugar
  4. 2 tsp baking powder
  5. 2 tsp kosher salt
  6. 1 β…” cups buttermilk
  7. 2 each egg
  8. 10 ounces butter (melted)

Method

  1. Preheat Egg to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and set up for indirect cooking.
  2. In a bowl combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Once dry ingredients are combined whisk together melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs in a separate bowl. When dry and wet mixtures are ready combine with a spatula until dry and wet are fully incorporated.
  3. Once the cornbread mixture is ready, pour into a baking pan and bake on the Egg for 30 minutes or until a pick comes out of the middle clean.
