This fruit leather is versatile and can easily be made with just about any fruit.
Ingredients
- 3 cups of diced strawberries
- 2 cups of chopped apricot
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 8 ounces of watermelon
Method
- Pre-heat the Egg to 160 degrees and set up for indirect cooking.
- Remove stems from strawberries and cut them into quarters. For the apricots, remove stems, and seeds, and cut them into quarters.
- Place apricots and strawberries in a blender and blend into a smooth liquid.
- Line a sheet tray with parchment paper and evenly spread the mixture onto the tray. Place on the Egg and allow to dry out for 6 hours. You will know the fruit leather is finished when it is slightly shiny and not sticky to the touch.
- Once ready, allow to cool and gently remove from parchment paper. Once removed, cut leather into strips or shapes.
- For the watermelon, Pre-heat the Egg to 400 degrees. Cut watermelon to desired size and grill for 2 minutes on each side. Serve with fruit leather.
