This glaze can be used for a variety of fall cakes or pastries.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/6 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
- 1/8 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/8 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Method
- In a sauce pot combine brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, and salt. Bring mixture to a boil and then remove from heat.
- Set mixture aside and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, place in a mixer with whip attachment and add powdered sugar maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix to incorporate.
