Vegetable Couscous

Nutritional Information

Couscous, a type of pasta, is a great alternative to rice.


  • 4 ounces butter, melted
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 ounces chicken base
  • 1 1/2 quarts water
  • 1 1/2 pounds quick cooking couscous
  • 2 ounce sweet chili sauce
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced


  • 1. Place everything except the butter and couscous to a pan. Bring to a boil. Once a boil is achieved, slowly add the couscous. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until all of the liquid is absorbed. Add the butter, fluff with a fork and season to taste with salt and pepper.
