Sweet Pickles

Nutritional Information

This is a great substitute for bread and butter pickles and works well on anything!


  • 1 pound cucumber, sliced 1/4
  • 1 pound red onion, sliced 1/4
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1/8 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds


  • 1. In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, spices and sugar. Place over high heat and bring to a boil.
  • 2. Pour hot vinegar mixture over cucumbers and onions.
  • 3. Let cucumber mix sit until cool. Place a lid on the jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
