Yogurt Marinated Lamb

Nutritional Information

Lamb chops are marinated in yogurt, onion, saffron and black pepper.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds lamb chops
  • 2 cups whole milk yogurt
  • 1 teaspoons tumeric
  • 2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 strips orange zest
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons coarse sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

Directions

  • 1. Place the yogurt in a bowl and stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 2. Marinate the lamb in the mixture overnight.
  • 3. Preheat the EGG to 425° using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the lamb chops 3-4 min a side or until it reaches an internal temp of 130°. Pull off the EGG and let rest, 5-10 min. Slice and serve.
  • 4. Preheat the EGG to 425° using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the lamb sirloin 3-4 min a side or until it reaches an internal temp of 135°. Pull off the EGG and let rest, 5-10 min. Slice and serve.
