Grilled and Marinated Flank Steaks

Flank steak is a great cut for marinades. Remember to always slice it against the grain.

Ingredients

  1. β…œ cups soy sauce
  2. β…œ cups rice wine vinegar
  3. β…œ cups pure maple syrup
  4. 8 each garlic cloves, chopped
  5. 4 lbs. flank steak

Method

  1. Blend soy sauce, vinegar, syrup, and garlic in a blender until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Toss steaks with mixture. Marinate for at least one hour, up to 24hrs in the refrigerator.
  2. Remove steaks from refrigerator and discard marinade. Pat steaks dry.
  3. Preheat the Egg to 500ΒΊF with cast iron grate for direct heat. Make sure you grate is clean.
  4. Place steaks in the center of the grate and grill until the desired temperature is achieved. Let rest 5 to 10 minutes.
