This sauce is great for basting fatty meats while barbecuing.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 ounce light brown sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp hot sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
Method
- Combine vinegar, brown sugar, and salt in a medium sauce pot. Bring to a boil.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and add remaining ingredients. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve or place in a container and cool.
