Easy snack for any night of the week.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 quarts popped popcorn
- 2 cups pretzels of choice
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
Method
- Preheat the Egg to 250 F set up with indirect heat. Place popped corn and pretzels in a large shallow baking pan; keep warm on Egg.
- Meanwhile, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt in a heavy saucepan; cook and stir until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook for 3-4 mins. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Remove popped corn and pretzels from the Egg; immediately pour a steady stream of syrup over popped corn and pretzels. Mix well. Return to the Egg for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and store in an airtight container.
