Radicchio Slaw

Nutritional Information

Using hardier greens on the grill can bring out a lot of flavor. Always soak your radicchio to pull out bitterness.


  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • Gray salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 8 oz. romaine lettuce hearts, torn
  • 8 oz. radicchio, torn


  • 1. Preheat Egg to 425 degrees direct heat using a Cast Iron Grate.
  • 2. Whisk together first four ingredients to make dressing.
  • 3. Cut radicchio in quarters and soak in ice water for several hours replace water a couple times. Cut romaine in half long ways and rinse well. Grill both on direct heat 425 degrees for two minutes each side or until tender.
  • 4. Slice thin and toss with dressing.
