Pimento Sliders

These sliders are topped with a from scratch pimento spread.


  • 4 ounces diced pimientos, drained
  • 2 cups finely shredded Colby or cheddar (8 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Vegetable oil, for grilling
  • 2 pounds ground beef chuck (80 percent lean)
  • 1/4 cup worchestershire
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns, see rich yeast bread recipe


  • 1. Stir together pimientos, cheese and mayonnaise. Season to taste and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • 2. Mix the remaining ingredients with the burger meat. Do not over mix! Form into 8 patties
  • 3. Preheat the EGG to 400º using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Clean and lightly oil hot grill. Season patties with salt and pepper. Grill 2-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness; top each burger with 3 tablespoons pimiento cheese. Serve burgers on buns with desired toppings.
