Greek Salad

This is a classic recipe for a Greek Salad.


  • 6 oz olive oil
  • 3 oz red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cumin, ground
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons thyme, whole, dried
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 12 oz lettuce
  • 6 oz feta cheese
  • 6 ounces kalamata olive
  • 6 ounces cherry tomato, halved
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 whole cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 whole baguette, sliced thin


  • 1. Preheat the Egg to 400º using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the bread on both sides until charred and toasted. Remove from the grill and chop into smaller chunks for croutons.
  • 2. Combine the ingredients for the dressing and season to taste. Combine the remaining ingredients for the salad and dress just before serving with the dressing. Season to taste again just before service.
