Nutritional Information

This is a recipe for German meat patties. Maggi can be found in most international sections.


  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Maggi (Traditional German Liquid Seasoning)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Teaspoon Whole Caraway Seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 16 ounces sauerkraut, for garnish


  • 1. In a food processor combine the onion, garlic, caraway, parsley and marjoram. Blend until finely ground.
  • 2. Combine all of the ingredients except the sauerkraut. Form into 1 oz balls.
  • 3. Preheat the Egg to 400º using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the balls on all sides until cooked throughout. Serve with the sauerkraut.
