This is a versatile recipe for simply grilled steak.


  • 1 pound flank steak, trimmed
  • Dizzy Pig Rub of choice, as desired


  • 1. Evenly coat steak with rub. Grill steak over direct heat at about 400º until cooked to desired temperature.

Variation: In our Steak Class on September 9th, 2014, we used Ribeye instead of flank steak and Shaking the Tree as the Rub. It was smoked at 225º using indirect heat and Red Oak smoking wood until an internal temperature of 130º was reached. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

In our Grilling Symposium on 6/18/16, we used hanger steak instead of flank. Follow the remaining recipe as stated.
