Crab Spaghetti with Lemon Gremolata

A delicious seafood pasta dish to satisfy any craving.

Ingredients

  • For Crab Spaghetti:
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 4 ounces unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces olive oil
  • 3 each cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white wine, your choice
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 1/2 pounds jumbo lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, and more to taste
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste fresh ground black pepper
  • For lemon and garlic gremolata
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2 each clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions

  • 1. For the Crab Spaghetti:
  • 2. Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
  • 3. Preheat EGG to 350 degrees, using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Preheat cast iron Dutch oven. Add the butter and olive oil, heat 1 minute. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant. Add white wine, lemon juice and red pepper flakes, cook for 8 minutes. Add lump crab meat and hot spaghetti and stir to mix well. Add Parmesan and kosher salt; toss. Add ¼ cup of reserved pasta water at a time if the pasta needs more liquid. Top with Lemon and Garlic Gremolata and more Parmesan cheese and serve.
  • 4. For lemon and garlic gremolata:
  • 5. In medium fry pan, melt butter over medium high heat. Add bread crumbs and kosher salt. Stir to combine in butter. Toast bread crumbs for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occassionally. Be careful so crumbs don’t burn. Remove hot bread crumbs from heat and add in garlic, parsley and lemon zest. Stir to combine and add to top of Crab Spaghetti.
