Cheeseburger Calzone

All the flavors of a classic cheeseburger stuffed into a calzone.


  • 1 Recipe Chicago Style Pizza Dough
  • 13 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 9 ounces red onion, small dice
  • 9 ounces dill pickles, small dice
  • 15 ounces cooked burger patties, fine chopped
  • 1 Recipe Bistro Sauce


  • 1. Prepare pizza dough as directed on recipe.
  • 2. Divide dough into 2.2 ounce balls. Let sit covered and double in size, about 30 minutes.
  • 3. In a large bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, onions, pickles and cooked burger patties.
  • 4. Take one dough ball and flatten out into a cirlce about 3 - 4 inches in diameter.
  • 5. Take 3 ounces of the cheeseburger filling and place it in the middle of the dough circle.
  • 6. Pull half of the dough over the filling, making a crescent moon shape. Press the dough around the filling to remove any air pockets.
  • 7. Fold the edge of the the dough onto itself to seal or crimp with a fork.
  • 8. Place finished calzone on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • 9. Repeat steps 4-8 with the remaining dough and filling.
  • 10. Bake on EGG at 350 degrees (place baking sheet on top of plate setter) for 30 - 45 minutes or until the calzone is golden brown.
  • 11. Serve hot with bistro sauce
