Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Nutritional Information

These sprouts are tossed with bacon fat, and roasted on the Big Green Egg.


  • 1/3 pound thick cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch dice
  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • kosher salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/6 cup bacon fat


  • 1. Preheat the EGG to 450º using indirect heat.
  • 2. Combine the onions, brussels sprouts and bacon fat onto a grill safe pan. Roast the mixture for about 30-45 minutes or until fork tender and slightly caramelized, stirring every 15 minutes or so.
  • 3. Remove from the EGG and top with the crumbled bacon. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately
