Bananas Foster Pancakes

  • For the Sauce:
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup banana liqueur
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • For the Pancakes
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 cups bisquick
  • 1 cup milk
  • sliced bananas, as desired


  • 1. Combine the brown sugar and the cinnamon until well blended. Add the butter and sugar mixture to a sauce pot and whisk until the butter is melted. Add the remaining ingredients and gently light with a lighter. (Be careful, this will flare up!) Burn off the alcohol until you no longer see a flame. Keep warm and set aside.
  • 2. Combine the ingredients for the pancakes until well blended. Set aside.
  • 3. Preheat the EGG to 400º using indirect heat and a griddle. (You can use a cast iron skillet if you do not have a griddle.) Pour the batter into small pancakes and cook until cooked throughout, flipping once.
  • 4. Remove from the grill, top with bananas if desired and the foster sauce.
  • 5. Note: This recipe serves about 8-10 people for a standard serving of pancakes
