Asian Napa Slaw

  • 2 tablespoons ginger
  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 head Napa cabbage, sliced thinly
  • 1 red bell pepper, grilled then julienne fine
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, grilled then julienne fine
  • 2 serrano chiles, grilled then minced fine
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, grilled then julienne fine
  • 3 green onions, cut on the bias, all of white part and half of the green
  • 2 tablespoons chiffonade cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons chiffonade mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


  • 1. In a small bowl, or food processor combine ginger, vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, oil, and peanut butter.
  • 2. Preheat the Egg to 400º using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the carrots and peppers until slightly tender and char marks form. Once cool enough to handle, julienne.
  • 3. In a large bowl, combine grilled vegetables and all other ingredients and toss with dressing. Season to taste and serve.
