Asian Marinade For Tofu

A lot of people think tofu is bland, but if its prepared properly it can be quite delicious!


  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 4 whole garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chives, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pound extra firm tofu, pressed


  • 1. Combine all ingredients except the tofu in a medium bowl and mix well.
  • 2. Place tofu in a plastic bag. Add marinade, press out as much air as possible and seal bag. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  • 3. Remove tofu from marinade. Slice into 1″ thick slices. Preheat EGG to 400º using a cast iron grate and direct heat. Grill each side of the tofu until grill marks form about 3-5 minutes per side.
