Apple Crumble

This makes a great topping for any dessert or even oatmeal!


  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed, at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 6 apples, peeled, halved, and cored


  • 1. Preheat the Egg to 400º using direct heat and a cast iron grate. Grill the apples until char marks form. Remove from the grill and dice.
  • 2. Combine the butter, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, oats, salt, honey, and brown sugar in a bowl and blend with your fingertips until homogenous. Add apples and season to taste. Refrigerate until needed.
