This simple recipe can be used for any type of candied nut.
Ingredients
- 1 each egg white
- 2 tbsp. white sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup raw nuts
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Method
- Preheat Egg to 300 degrees F and set up for indirect baking.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with oil.
- In a bowl whisk the egg whites until they are slightly fluffy then set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine white sugar, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Combine nuts with egg whites until evenly coated. Once coated, add in sugar mixture and evenly coat. Transfer mixture to baking sheet and place on egg.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring half way through. Remove sheet from Egg. Allow nuts to cool before serving.
