Candied Nuts

This simple recipe can be used for any type of candied nut.

Ingredients

  1. 1 each egg white
  2. 2 tbsp. white sugar
  3. 1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1 cup raw nuts
  6. 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Method

  1. Preheat Egg to 300 degrees F and set up for indirect baking.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with oil.
  3. In a bowl whisk the egg whites until they are slightly fluffy then set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine white sugar, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
  5. Combine nuts with egg whites until evenly coated. Once coated, add in sugar mixture and evenly coat. Transfer mixture to baking sheet and place on egg.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring half way through. Remove sheet from Egg. Allow nuts to cool before serving.
